Avenir 35-27-373 Review: Avenir Discovery Road Tires (Black, 27 - Inches x 1-1/4 - Inches). This are a finely riding tire for less than perfect roads, the 1 1/4 inch size giving plenty of bounce room for rocks. But one of mine just a couple of months old split on the side. Fortunately, I detected it before a blowout.I scrupulously kept it inflated to the rated 90 psi. I will henceforth keep them at 80 psi or so for safety. They won't ride as efficiently then.
